<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator capable of suppressing corrosion caused by chlorine ion contained in a selective oxidation catalyst, and a fuel cell system equipped with it. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generator 100 is equipped with a reformer 2 which generates a hydrogen-containing gas by a reforming reaction of a fuel containing hydrocarbon and water, a selective oxidation device 4 containing a selective oxidation catalyst for reducing carbon monoxide in the hydrogen-containing gas generated by the reformer by a selective oxidation reaction using oxidation gas, an oxidation gas feeder 12 for feeding oxidation gas for the selective oxidation reaction to the selective oxidation catalyst contained in the selective oxidation device, and a dechlorination agent 15 containing a silver salt or silver ion for removing chlorine ion which is eluted from the selective oxidation catalyst by water-wetting of the selective oxidation catalyst contained in the selective oxidation device by chemically reacting with the silver salt or silver ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
