<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an access speed to a waveform memory, and to increase the number of sound channels. <P>SOLUTION: A quickly page-accessible waveform memory 9 is page-classified by 8 address units of page size p, a sample stored in the final address of each page is stored overlappingly in a top address of the next page. An address counter 11 sums up a readout rate of each sound channel, to generate a sample address, a memory address generating part 12 adds an integer part SAi of the sample address and Int[SAi/(p-1)], to generate an memory address MA.
