<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone filling material applicable to a bone defective part of a region where loads are applied without being crushed if forced into the bone defective part, facilitating the healing of the bone defective part as a living bone rapidly enters the bone defective part. <P>SOLUTION: Thermoplastic resin (polyetherether ketone, etc.) whose bending strength measured based on ASTM D 790 is at least 100 MPa is used in the bone filling material. The bone filling material is composed of an aggregate of granules including bioactive ceramic particles (calcium phosphate compound particles, etc.), and a part of the bioactive ceramic particles projects from the surface of the granules. When the bone filling material is tapped into the bone detective part, communication holes whose size in the diametric direction is at least 50 μm (at least 50 μm and not more than 2 mm) are formed among granules. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
