PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate information for sufficiently encouraging drivers of plug-in hybrid cars to drive in a fuel saving manner.

SOLUTION: Fuel saving driving diagnostic equipment stores the amount of external power denoting the amount of power charged by an external device and the amount of internal power denoting the amount of power charged by driving of a vehicle. Then, the fuel saving driving diagnostic equipment calculates the amount of driving power denoting the amount of power used for driving of the vehicle from the stored amount of external power, the stored amount of internal power, and the amount of power that the vehicle has at the present time and diagnoses the fuel saving driving on the basis of the calculated amount of driving power and the stored amount of external power.
