PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment film forming method reducing the number of processes. SOLUTION: In the alignment film forming method, a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using the same, and an alignment film forming apparatus, a substrate having a base substrate including a plurality of unit pixel areas defined thereon, each of which is divided into a plurality of sub-pixel areas and a photo reactive polymer film formed on the base substrate is provided. The photo reactive polymer film is subjected to first photo alignment by radiating first light to a first exposure area of the unit pixel area, the first light being polarized at a first inclination angle with respect to the substrate in a first direction. Substantially simultaneously with the first photo alignment, the photo reactive polymer layer is subjected to second photo alignment by radiating second light to a second exposure area of another unit pixel area, the second light being polarized at a second inclination angle with respect to the substrate in a second direction.
