PROBE INFORMATION COLLECTION SYSTEM, ROADSIDE COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT, AND IN-VEHICLE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instruct how to generate probe information for a road section from a road side to a vehicle which is traveling in the section. SOLUTION: First roadside communication equipment 1 transmits instruction information on how to generate road shape information related to the shape of a road and probe information for the road from a first communication antenna 1A to a vehicle C which is traveling towards a road section X. An in-vehicle unit 6 which has received the road shape information and the instruction information determines the method of generating the probe information for the road section X based on the information. Then, the probe information generated according to the instruction is transmitted to second roadside communication equipment 2 when the vehicle passes the road section X, and collected by a probe information collection device 5.
