PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode shaping apparatus that can quickly shape, without taking time and labor, a disk-like electrode wheel installed in a seam welder and that can efficiently and accurately shape the electrode wheel. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a cutting tool 2 for cutting the chip end in the outer circumference of an electrode wheel W after welding, a rotary drive means 23 for rotating the cutting tool 2, a forward/backward moving means 12 for giving to-and-fro movement to the cutting tool in the direction coming in contact with the electrode wheel W. The cutting tool 2 is equipped with a recess that is formed along the periphery in correspondence with the chip end shape of the electrode wheel W, a plurality of notched parts that intersect the recess and are notched deeper than the recess and released on both sides of the cutting tool, and cutting blades formed in the edge of the recess defined by each notched part.
