PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system which comprises a display device in which a monitor part is connected to a tuner part by an HDMI CEC, and can discriminate the monitor part and the tuner part mutually when a plurality of display devices are connected to an identical CEC bus. SOLUTION: In display devices 10a to 10c, the monitor part is HDMI-connected to the tuner part and the tuner part is HDMI-connected to an HDMI SW 2. A monitor part 11 broadcasts a CEC message to which discrimination information for discriminating the monitor part 11 is added. A tuner part 12 receives the CEC message broadcasted from any one of the monitor parts of the display devices 10a to 10c, accesses the monitor part 11 connected directly to the tuner part 12 to read the discrimination information, and determines whether or not the discrimination information included in the CEC message coincides with the discrimination information read from the monitor part 11.
