SOLUTION: The drive pinion support device 10 rotatably supports the drive pinion 38 having a pinion shaft 36 and a pinion gear 28 provided on one end of the pinion shaft 36 to have a diameter larger than that of the pinion shaft 36 via a pair of tapered roller bearings 40, 42 separated from each other to have a predetermined distance X between support points in the axial direction C1 of the pinion shaft 36. An inner ring 50 of the tapered roller bearing 40 on the pinion gear 28 side has a circular projection 58 projecting toward the pinion gear 28.
