<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission efficiency while suppressing interference with signals which other apparatuses transmit, in a power line carrier communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A power source 202 which acquires a source voltage from a power line 100 connected from outside, a transmission control portion 222a which transmits a pilot signal and a signal following the pilot signal to the power line 100, a pilot signal detection portion 222b which detects the pilot signal which the other apparatuses transmit to the power line 100, and a timing adjustment portion 222c which adjusts the transmission timing of the pilot signal of self apparatus according to the transmission timing of the pilot signal which the other apparatuses transmit are equipped.
