MELTING FURNACE BY INDUCTION HEATING AND INDUCTION HEATING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace by induction heating and an induction heating method where an electroconductive liquid can be heated homogeneously and where the sedimentation and deposit of metal particles contained in a high level radioactive waste liquid can be prevented. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The melting furnace by induction heating includes a container 2 to store a mixture 1 of the high level radioactive waste liquid and glass, a heating element 3 set in the container 2 and capable of heating the mixture 1 and a heating device 4 to heat the heating element 3 or the both of the heating element 3 and the mixture 1 by induction heating changing the magnet penetrating distance of an electromagnetic field caused by the switching of the frequency of an alternating current to be used.
