<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily clean an image reading window of a document reader with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A document feed part 23 is supported to a device body 1 rotatably by using a support shaft 27 as a supporting point between a first position overlapping the device body 1 and a second position separate from the device body 1, and automatically feeds a document 51. The image reading window 5 is arranged on the device body 1 in order to read an image from the document 51 fed by the document feed part 23, and the front surface thereof is covered with a cover 5a. A slide cleaning part 35 is supported to the support shaft 27, and abuts and slides on a transparent plate 5a of the image reading window 5 with a rotating operation between the first position and the second position of the document feed part 23.
