<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lock system capable of locking and unlocking even if both hands are used otherwise. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The shoe bottom 11 which is worn by the user when this electric lock system is used and on which a shoe bottom patter 12 for specifying the type of the shoe of the user is formed is used for this system. A shoe bottom pressure distribution reading part 2 reads the pressure distribution of the shoe bottom 11 worn by the user when the user approaches a gate 6. A pressure distribution reading control part 3 outputs an instruction for operating the gate 6 when the specific shoe bottom pattern 12 which allows the user to pass the gate 6 among the shoe bottom patterns 12 is preliminarily recorded as registered pattern information and the shoe pattern 12 recognized by the pressure distribution of the shoe bottom 11 read by the shoe bottom pressure distribution reading part 2 matches the registered pattern information by collation. An electric lock control part 4 controls the unlocking (or locking) of the electric lock 5 of the gate 6 by the instruction from the pressure distribution reading control part 3.
