PURPOSE: An image sensor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to collect light into a photodiode through a light guide part without a loss by forming the end of the light guide part with a convex shape. CONSTITUTION: A color filter(120) passes through the incident light of the specific wavelength band through a micro lens(130). A photo diode(50) is formed in the active area of a semiconductor substrate(60) and generates electric charge according to the amount of the light passing through the color filter. An intermediate layer(80A) is formed between the top of the semiconductor substrate and the color filter. A light guide part(112) guides the light passing through the color filter to re-enter the photo diode. A side of the light guide part facing the photo diode is formed with the convex shape to the direction of the light outflow.
