PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that includes a motor and a motion converting means for converting the rotation of the motor into tilting motion and telescopic motion while sufficiently securing a space around driver's feet and achieving a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The steering device is configured to execute telescopic motion for moving a steering wheel 10 forward and backward by extending and contracting a column housing 11, and tilting motion for moving the steering wheel 10 vertically by tilting the column housing 11. The rotation of a single motor 6 provided in an upper bracket 2 supporting the column housing 11 is motion-converted into the tilting motion and the telescopic motion by a motion converting means 7. As a result, spaces occupied by the motor 6 and the motion converting means 7 can be reduced, thereby sufficiently securing a space around driver's feet in a vehicle cabin, and also, achieving the configuration of the steering device with a small number of components.
