ARTIFICIAL NAIL COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVED CURABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nail composition having improved curability, and further the composition which causes less yellowing and has excellent internal curability. SOLUTION: The artificial nail composition comprises a component (a) which is a compound having at least one radically polymerizable unsaturated double bond in a molecule and a component (b) which is a photopolymerization initiator selected from the group consisting of (i) acylphosphine oxide type and (ii) the mixtures thereof with α-hydroxyalkylphenone type. The content of the component (b) is 0.05 to 4.00 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component (a). It is preferable that the acylphosphine oxide type photopolymerization initiator is monoacylphosphine oxide and/or bis-acylphosphine oxide and that the α-hydroxyalkylphenone type is 1-hydroxy-cyclohexyl-phenyl-ketone or 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-propan-1-one.
