PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port body capable of highly efficiently cleaning dust at wall edges over the whole width of the suction port body, and to provide a vacuum cleaner having the same. SOLUTION: This suction port body includes a suction port bored in a case body, a front-side suction port communicating with the suction port, a rotary cleaning body rotatably journaled facing the suction port and the front-side suction port, a pair of journal sections journaling both sides of the rotary cleaning body, a pair of slide contact sections covering the journal sections, provided at the lower parts of the case body and coming into contact with a surface to be cleaned, a pair of driving wheels provided outside the journal sections respectively and having belt-shaped brushes, a front cover covering the front side suction port and the slide contact sections and turnably attached to the front face of the case body, and at least an air flow passage is formed between the front cover and the slide contact section, even with the front cover retracted.
