<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary delay of an ignition timing resulting from a time lag between estimated torque and required torque. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine control device finds a target throttle opening corresponding to required torque, and calculates estimated torque in accordance with the target throttle opening when setting an ignition timing as an optimum ignition timing.
