<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone capable of notifying a user of information in a semantic form (lighting pattern), without depending on liquid crystal display, when responding to an input from the user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone (1) includes: a key backlight (14) provided with a plurality of lights, which irradiates keys of a key input means (key input part 15) and is constituted of RGB lighting elements, correspondingly to the keys; and a control means (CPU 10) for performing lighting control on the plurality of lights in order to display, with colors of the plurality of lights, information indicating at least either a response to a key input from the key input means (key input part 15) or a notice as guidance for the result of operation in accordance with the key input from the key input means (key input part 15).
