PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator comprising a shelf capable of being pulled out, even on a shelf board of a thin plate, having superior design and improved of usability. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator comprising a refrigerating compartment 2 disposed at the upper part of a refrigerator body, a left refrigerating compartment door 2b having a hinge at a left side section of the refrigerator body 1, a right refrigerating compartment door 2a having a hinge at a right side section of the refrigerator body, and a plurality of shelf boards for loading stored objects in the refrigerating compartment 2, the lowermost shelf board 10c of the refrigerating compartment 2 has a step section 10c-1, within a range of a width of the left refrigerating compartment door 2b; a drawer shelf 18 moving in the longitudinal direction is disposed on the step section 10c-1; a top face of the drawer shelf 18 is positioned near the top face of the shelf board 10c-1; and the drawer shelf 18 is moved to the neighborhood of a front part of the shelf board 10c-1 at its front part.
