<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which a substrate is not lifted off, when a protective film is peeled off, without complicating a device configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the fixing device 200, a fixing unit for fixing a liquid crystal panel 110 is mounted to a pinch section for pinching the liquid crystal panel 110 by pressing two opposing side faces of the liquid crystal panel 110, by pressing an upper peripheral edge of the liquid crystal panel 110. Accordingly, the fixing device in which the substrate is not lifted off, when the protective film is peeled off, is provided without complicating the device configuration.
