<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinneret capable of making a melt spinning of a modified cross-section multifilament yarn with a nearly equilateral-triangular fiber cross section excellent in silk-like glossy feeling, and also enabling its own nozzle shape to be made easier and more inexpensively than ever. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The spinneret for modified cross-section fiber yarn has the following design: Semicircles each with a radius of curvature (R) are processed respectively at three apexes (A, B and C) forming the respective tips of slit holes branched in three-way fashion at equal angles. The ratio (R/L) is (1:8) to (1:12) (wherein (L) is the length of a line segment connecting each of the apexes (A, B and C) and the center (O)). When the midpoints (M) of the respective sides of an equilateral triangle formed by connecting the apexes one another with a straight line each and points (N) where the respective line segments MO connecting the midpoints (M) and the center (O) and the profile line of the discharge hole intersect are imagined, the ratio (l<SB>1</SB>/l<SB>2</SB>) is (2.8:2) to (3.2:2) (wherein l<SP>1</SP>is the line segment OM's length, and l<SB>2</SB>is the line segment ON's length).
