<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize an open trajectory of a door before a passenger gets out of a vehicle, and to easily recognize the open trajectory throughout the day. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A visual recognition assisting device equipped with a door 16 jointed to a vehicle body 11 with hinges 21, 21 and provided so as to be turnable with respect to the vehicle body 11 at a prescribed angle is composed of a transparent optical film element 35 arranged on door glass 17 provided at a door 16 and light projecting elements 31-33 for projecting light to the optical film element 35. The optical film element 35 contains door image forming means 41-43 formed so as to allow the visual recognition of a door image in an open state of being oriented to the hinge shaft 21a of the door 16 with the optical film element 35 when projected by the light projecting elements 31-33.
