<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a striker mounting structure capable of suppressing generation of the moment at a joining part of a striker base with a hood component even when any load is applied to a striker. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A striker 28 is mounted on a striker fixing part 34 of a striker base 26 by a mounting part 28C. The striker base 26 is welded to a hood lock reinforcement 22 by a weld point 36. The weld point 36 is set on a joining line L2 passing through the fixing part 34 parallel to the center of rotation of a hood 14.
