<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burial disposition facility for radioactive waste for completing filling of a pellet-type cushioning material before a block-type cushioning material is collapsed, even if a salt concentration in underground water leaked from the bedrock surrounding a disposition hole is higher. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a burial disposition facility for radioactive waste comprising a block-type cushioning material 60 that is made of compacted clay soil material primarily composed of bentonite and that is provided in a disposition hole 5 in which radioactive waste 3 is buried and a particulate pellet-type cushioning material 7 that is filled between the disposition hole 5 and the block-type cushioning material 60 and that is primarily composed of bentonite, the block-type cushioning material 60 is made of compacted clay soil material so that it keeps its integrity until completion of filling the pellet-type cushioning material 7 even if underground water having a higher salt concentration is leaked into the disposition hole 5.
