The sensor device has an evaluation circuit (40) for detecting electrical-field interactions using first electrode device (11) that couples electric field in arrangement region of second electrode device (10), for determining rotational frequency of rotary object e.g. washing drum. The second electrode device is capacitively coupled to a client circuit, and first electrode device is coupled with metallic rotation shaft (21) of support roll. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for determining rotational frequency of rotary object; and (2) method for determining rotation of dryer drum and degree of humidity of laundry in dryer drum.
