PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a meeting place recommendation service using location information of a mobile communication terminal are provided to inform access to a user when a terminal of a counterpart person is approached to a specific place or around a terminal of the user using a location checking service. CONSTITUTION: The second terminal identification information and user information of the first terminal are received from the first terminal. A location of the second terminal is checked(600). The checked location of the second terminal is compared with the location of the first terminal(602). If the second terminal is located within a predetermined distance, place information related to user information of the first terminal is extracted(604~610). The extracted place information is transmitted to the first terminal or the second terminal(614).
