A trowelling machine having a trowel 10 rotated by an internal combustion engine 11 has electric vibrator means 12, on the trowel. energised by current from a generator 25 driven by the engine. The vibration generators 12 are fed through a slip-ring system and are such that the speed and energy of the vibrations increases as the travelling speed increases such that wet and dry areas of concrete are uniformly treated. The trowel may run at a speed between 50 and 300 r.p.m. and be vibrated at a frequency between 3600 and 12000 c.p.m. |
