The tuning-scale indicator drive assembly is intended for radios and has a spring-loaded drive cord moved at the same time as the tuning element, such as a capacitor. A rigid clamping element (6) carries the helical tension spring (1) around one end. The spring connects the drive end (5) of the cord, wound round the clamping element, to the other end (7). The helical spring on the end of the rigid clamping element has its properties so selected that it is not expended beyond the normal extension during the normal tuning process. Preferably the cord end (5) is led through a transverse recess (9) in the clamping element and is frictionally to the spring end.
