A movable support armature (50) for a curved reflector of electromagnetic radiation (64), which is defined substantially as a double layer grid space frame having non-parallel major surfaces, the armature comprising plural parallel major chord framing members (51, 52, 57, 58, 59) each having an elongate axis and disposed essentially in the frame major surfaces and extending parallel to an elongate extent of the frame, the major chord members including at least a pair of bottom major chord members (51, 52) essentially in a bottom one of the frame major surfaces and only three upper major chord members (57, 58, 59), the upper major chord members (57, 58, 59) including a central chord member (57) located between two outer chord members (58, 59), the upper chord members defining two planes which intersect at the central upper chord member (57) at an oblique included angle which is concave away from the frame bottom major surface, the armature also comprising node connector structures (69, 74, 75) disposed at spaced locations along each major chord member, minor chord members (61) connected between corresponding nodes on major chord members defining the respective major surface aforesaid to define arrays of major and minor chord members in each major surface, and strut framing members (60, 62) interconnected between nodes in different ones of the major surface. |
