BACKLIGHT DEVICE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight device and a liquid crystal display device thereof are provided to reduce luminance difference between rows of backlight units, thereby reducing a row waterfall. CONSTITUTION: A backlight control circuit(610) controls a luminance of a backlight unit(620). The backlight control circuit includes a scanning control circuit(612). The scanning control circuit controls a scanning of the backlight unit. The scanning control circuit performs a row unit scanning to the backlight unit by offer of the first PWM(pulse width modulation) signal. The scanning control circuit performs a scanning to rows adjacent to scanned rows of the backlight unit in luminance lower than that of the scanned rows by offer of the second PWM(pulse width modulation) signal.
