PURPOSE: A suction valve assembly of a reciprocation compressor is provided to minimize the pressure loss of a compressor by forming a slit on the extension part of a suction valve. CONSTITUTION: A suction valve assembly of a reciprocation compressor comprises a cylinder block, a valve plate, a suction valve(100), and a gasket(13g). A cylinder bore(11a) is formed on the cylinder block. The valve plate is arranged behind the cylinder block. The suction valve and the gasket are arranged between the cylinder block and the belt plate. The suction valve is composed of an opening and closing part(110) and an extension part(120). A slit groove(130) is formed on the extension part.
