PURPOSE: A nanoemulsion for topical administration containing active ingredient is provided to promote skin permeability of aqueous ingredient, lipid ingredient and protein drug. CONSTITUTION: A nanoemulsion for topical administration contains 1-10 weight parts of oil, 5-40 weight parts of PEG-8 caprylic/capric glyceride, 0.5-10 weight parts of lecithin, 0.5-10 weight parts of skin permeable promoter and 20-90 weight parts of water. The nanoemulsion further contains ethanol, butyleneglycol, isopropylalcohol, glycerol or their mixture. The skin permeable promoter is poroxamer, polysorbate 20, nerolidol, 2-n-nonyl-1,3-dioxolane, urea, limonene, or their mixture. A method for preparing the nanoemulsion comprises: a step of dissolving lecithin in ethanol, butyleneglycol, isopropylalcohol, or glycerol to obtain lecithin solution; a step of adding PEG-8 caprylic/capric glyceride and oil to the lecithin solution to make mixture; a step of adding water to the mixture to form nanoemulsion; and a step of skin permeable promoter to the nanoemulsion.
