The hand coating applicator of the parent Specification having an absorbent roller 22 mounted in a trough 10 is modified by providing a fixed scraper 32 with a side scraper flange 36 contacting the side of the roller to remove excess liquid from the cylindrical surface and ends of the roller. Absorbent pads 44 are also provided at each end of the roller to form extensions of the roller surface. |
