PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a polyurethane emulsion suitable for manufacturing synthetic leather/artificial leather having excellent heat stability, weatherability, resistance to hydrolysis, oleic acid resistance and, among others, foldability and flexibility both at low temperatures, and to obtain an artificial leather manufactured by using the polyurethane emulsion. SOLUTION: This polyurethane emulsion comprises a reaction product of a urethane prepolymer comprising (1) an organic diisocyanate, (2) a polycarbonatediol with specified structural components and (3) a compound having a hydrophilic center group and at least two isocyanate-reaction center groups and a chain extender. The synthetic leather and an artificial leather are manufactured by using the polyurethane emulsion. |
