PURPOSE: A method of searching a phonebook using a map of a mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to visually recognize a map to search a phonebook, thereby easily searching phonebook data about specific data. CONSTITUTION: A map is displayed on a user interface screen using map data. One or more unit areas are selected(S110). Phone number data with address information included in the selected unit area is displayed(S120). One or more phone number data are selected(S130). An available program list is displayed(S140). One program is executed.
