The invention relates to a windshield wiper device (10), particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one drive shaft (102) with a crank (101) disposed thereon. With the windshield wiper devices known from the prior art, the drive shaft comprises an external thread onto which a nut can be screwed for a rotationally secured connection to the drive shaft. However, said manner of fastening can no longer be made consistent with the steadily increasing demands for a preferably small installation space. Thus, the windshield wiper device (10) according to the present invention provides for the drive shaft (102) to be exclusively and/or primarily fastened to the crank (101, 31, 41) in a positively engaged fashion.
