PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber board by hot pressing by a manufacturing apparatus having a radial concentration control means and a hot pressing means and a method for increasing the strength of the board. SOLUTION: When a mat-like composition is hot pressed by a manufacturing apparatus having a radical concentration control means and a hot pressing means, as a radical initiator, a compound selected from the group consisting of a 2,2'-dimethyl azobisisobutyrate, an azobiscyanovaleric acid, a 1,1'- azobis-(cyclohexane-1-carbonitrile), a 2,2'-azobis-(2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile), an azobismethylbutyronitrile, and a 2,2'-azobis-(4-methoxy-2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile) or their mixture is used. |
