A novel building material (I) contains (a) crushed particulate vegetable aggregate; (b) a binder; and (c) a fine particulate mineralizer consisting of amorphous and/or crypto- to microcrystalline silicon, silicon-aluminum, silicon-iron and/or silicon-aluminum-iron substrate(s) of natural and/or synthetic industrial origin, e.g. coal ash, blast furnace dust, ground quartz, tuff, kieselguhr or volcanic ash. A novel building material (I) contains (a) a vegetable aggregate in crushed particle form; (b) a binder, preferably cement; and (c) a fine particulate mineralizer of particle size 0-0.2 (preferably 0-0.1) mm, consisting of amorphous and/or crypto- to microcrystalline silicon, silicon-aluminum, silicon-iron and/or silicon-aluminum-iron substrate(s) of natural and/or synthetic industrial origin, selected from coal ash, wood ash, smelting chamber granulate, potash, iron silicate slag, blast furnace dust, expanded clay dust or sand, ground fireclay, metakaolin, fired clay slate, tempered phonolite, bauxite, red mud, ground quartz, silicon mud, ground or waste glass of synthetic or natural origin (e.g. obsidian or perlite), rhyolite, tuff, kieselguhr, radiolite, trass, moler clay, gaize, tripoli and volcanic ash. An independent claim is included for the production of (I), by blending the aggregate, binder and mineralizer components (a) - (c), together with mixing water.
|
