PURPOSE: A method and a device for setting a terminal are provided to conveniently recover an error of a smart card by a user. CONSTITUTION: A terminal setup request interface unit(310) receives a terminal setup request. A terminal setup command generating unit(320) generates a terminal setup command corresponding to the terminal setup request. A session generation request unit(330) requests to generate a session of a smart card connected to a setup target terminal. A communication unit(340) communicates with the smart card.
