Reactive dye compositions comprise at least one dye in the form of a free acid which is of formula D-SO 2 X in which D is a dyestuff residue having an acidic water solubilising group and X is a group -SO 2 CH 2 CH 2 O SO 3 H or -CH=CH 2 and at least one amino compound which is a nitrogen containing heterocyclic compound or an acid salt thereof or an amine compound of formula HNRR 1 or an acid salt thereof in which R and R 1 are alkyl groups of 1-4 carbon atoms and R 1 may be hydrogen when R is an isopropyl or t-butyl group. When R 1 is alkyl it may be substituted by hydroxyl or hydroxyl which is esterified by sulphuric acid, heterocyclic compounds are imidazole, acid salts of imidazole, morpholine and its acid salts, amine compounds are isopropylamine, t-butylamine, diethylamine, - dimethylamine, N-ethyl-N- hydroxy ethylamine. |
