<p>The tool (1) has expanding bodies (22) actuated by actuating arrangements. A limiting sleeve (10) is fastened at a tool housing (2) by screw threads and surrounds the expanding bodies for a pipe (12) to be expanded with a preset distance in an insertion position. The limiting sleeve provides a hollow cylindrical expansion limit for the ends of the pipe. The sleeve and the housing form a ring shaped receptacle for a flange of the expanding bodies. The bodies include expanding body parts (4-9), which are radially moved by the actuating arrangements for increasing a circumference of the bodies. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for expanding ends of a pipe (2) a pipe press coupling for pressing a pipe with a preset inner diameter (3) a method for forming a pipe press coupling for a multi-layer composite pipe.</p> |
