Device in a column for a technical process

An industrial-scale chemical reactor has one or more sheet metal surfaces forming a column in which fluid migrates from one position to another. The surfaces in contact with the fluid are assembled from sheet metal panels (1, 2) held together by pre-cut link fittings. Each link-fitting comprises a tongue (11) placed under a strap (22), and a raised tab (21) with a cut-out (12) notch. The column is assembled from different types of sheet metal modular components all joined by snap-fittings working on essentially the same principle. An Independent claim is included for a commensurate reactor column containing a liquid distribution channel with numerous branch channels leading to a discharge outlet.
