PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device for ensuring gear-in by properly correcting a reference value even when an actual gear-in position deviates from the reference value due to secular deterioration. SOLUTION: The shift control device comprises a sensor 13 for detecting the position of a shift lever 35 of a transmission and a control device 10 for previously storing a value detected by the sensor 13 as the reference value when the shift gear is in a gear-in condition and controlling the movement of the shift lever 35 in accordance with the reference value. The control device 10 has a correcting means 15 for correcting the reference value to approximate a current detected value when the value detected by the sensor 13 currently deviates from the reference value over a preset value when the shift gear is in the gear-in condition and the deviation is kept for a longer time than the detecting cycle of the sensor.
