Stamping and cutting device for plastic components with a robot carrying a laser device

A combined plastics die cutter and trimmer has a housing around a power-operated movable upper tool section over a fixed lower tool section. The assembly further has a robotic arm and a laser that may be inserted between the opened upper and lower sections. The housing further incorporates an extractor fan to remove fumes arising from CO2 laser operation and a light screen. In a further embodiment the laser is attached to the housing inner face from which it is directed as required between the open upper and lower tools.
