<p>Sealing portions of rotating systems together Particularly applicable to systems which consist of a rotor with variable pitch blades and a coaxially mounted rotating hydraulic control system for the variation of the pitch of the blades, and the sealing of the sections of this system. The two sections to be sealed together each contain a sealing portion at their adjacent points which are mounted with freedom of radial movement. The centrifugal force produced in rotation ensures sealing together to prevent escape of fluid. A particularly suitable material for the sealing elements is polytetrafluoroethylene.</p> |
