摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a low cost large screen wide viewing angle high speed response active matrix substrate is provided to offer an alignment direction control function to a thin film transistor array substrate, thereby removing necessity to form an alignment direction control bump or slit at a CF(Color Filter) substrate side. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(13), a pixel electrode(5), a common electrode(16) and contact pads(14,22) in the pixel electrode are formed on a substrate. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) layer is formed on the substrate. A thin film semiconductor element is isolated. A source electrode, a drain electrode and an alignment direction control electrodes are formed on the substrate. A silicon nitride layer passivation layer is locally formed on site except a gate electrode terminal unit, a source electrode terminal unit and a common electrode terminal unit.
