PURPOSE: A hot water circulation system associated with a heat pump and a control method thereof are provided to heat the water in a water pipe rapidly at the beginning of a heating mode. CONSTITUTION: A hot water circulation system associated with a heat pump comprises a coolant circuit, a water circuit, and a temperature detection unit. The coolant circuit includes a compressor(21), an expansion part(24), and an air-coolant heat exchanger. The water circuit includes a water-coolant heat exchanger(31), a sump tank(34), and a water pump(36), and is connected to a hot water supply part(4) or a heating part(5). The temperature detection unit includes a plurality of temperature sensors(TH1,TH2) for sensing the water temperature in the water circuit, the interior temperature, and the exterior temperature. In the heating or hot water supply mode, the water pump is stopped when the water temperature in the water circuit is lower than the set temperature. Sub heaters provided in the compressor, a decelerator, and an indoor unit are controlled to restart the water pump when the water temperature reaches the set temperature. |
