LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING ROBUSTNESS ON ELECTRO STATIC DISCHARGE

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display having robustness on electro static discharge is provided to prevent a sensing of the electrostatic discharge by preventing data enable signal from entering into a fail mode in a distortion state of the data enable signal due to the electrostatic discharge. CONSTITUTION: A timing controller(110) comprises A cryptanalysis circuit(420) and a fail detector(430). The cryptanalysis circuit outputs a recovering signal having a predetermined pulse length according to the inputted signal. The fail detector activates the fail signal by comparing the difference of the input signal and recovering signal and a critical value. The cryptanalysis circuit comprises a delay circuit and a recovering signal generator. The delay circuit outputs a delay signal by delaying the input signal by the preset time. The recovering signal generator generates a recovered signal activated in response to the delay signal. The recovering signal generator keeps the active state of the recovered signal for a preset cycle of the clock signal.
