Intended is to eliminate the defects of the prior art in a technique for manufacturing a fabric of a stripe pattern by using (color) yarns of a number larger than that of feed fingers arranged in feed changers. Provided is a stripe pattern knitting method for knitting one course by a first feeder having a first feed changer and a second feeder having a second feed changer. The first feeder performs a welt needle selection. When the yarn is newly fed to the knitting needle from the first feed changer, the angle, at which the yarn trapped by a trapper enters a yarn carrier, is stably kept. New yarns are fed to the knitting needles from the first and second feed changers, and are formed into loops. After this, the old yarn, the feed of which is to be interrupted, is held and cut at the same position.
